![]() ![]() So to it, it's basically like the computer is offline (but its not of course because every other program will be able to connect just fine). What this does is it makes it so the program cannot connect to the internet. It should now be on the list of programs on that big list I mentioned earlier. I tend to name my rules for blocking outgoing connections something along the lines of " Blocker". Name it something memorable to make sure you can keep track of it (you don't need to write a description). Make sure ALL checkboxes on the next screen are checked. Select "Block the Connection", click Next. ![]() Select "This Program Path" and then click on Browse and go to where Metaseqoia is (by default it's C:\Program Files\tetraface\Metasequoia4\Metaseq.exe.), then click Next. Select "Program" if it's not already selected, click Next. Open "Windows Defender Firewall" (namely by typing it into the search), then click on Advanced Settings (should open another window).Ĭlick on Outbound Rules, a long list should show up, then go to the right and click on "New Rule". ![]() I'm assuming most of yall are using Windows anyways. ![]() I'll just give a tutorial for Windows since Windows doesn't change theirs all too much but I did also do this on MacOSes version of firewall and it worked as well (though it's a very different method that changes between operating systems because MacOS can't decide on a single consistant layout for anything). You just need to make sure that the program doesn't connect. Tip for people using this, you technically don't even need to turn off wifi for your entire machine. ![]()
